Fall Herbal Medicine Chest

Summer is fading, so now would be a good time to
inventory that medicine chest. As the cooler weather approaches, make sure you
have the right herbs you need to combat cold weather maladies.  Order this week and save 10% on these
essential herbs.

Arnica Flower (Arnica Montana) Use for arthritic aches affected by seasonal changes. Keep this
one in your cabinet year round to help stop pain and minimize bruising and
edema. Rub the tincture directly on the area and take internally. Do not use
on broken skin.

Astragalus Root
(Astragalus membranaceus)
Take this antiviral
herb twice a day to prevent or treat colds and flu and to boost immunity.

Calendula
flower, aka Marigold flower, (Calendula officinalis)
Use calendula tinctures to soothe chapped skin and lips, rashes
and scalp conditions.  Mix a few drops
with coconut oil and apply directly to the affected area.

Chamomile Flower (Maticara
recutita)
This soothing herb works great as a
dust-irritant reliever. It is also good for upset stomachs, heartburn and
indigestion and to promote relaxation.

Echinacea Purpurea Root  naturally enhances the
immune system to treat colds, flu, sore throat, and other common infections.
This herb is best taken when a cold is coming on with the recommended dosage of
three to four times a day.

Ginkgo Leaf (Ginkgo biloba) Use to combat low circulation or insufficient blood flow,
mental fuzziness, memory loss, or vertigo.

Ginseng
Root-Tienchi/Tian San Qi (Radix pseudo-ginseng)
relieves lethargy and
fatigue and boosts resilience to environmental stresses. Take 2-3 times a day
unless directed otherwise.

Kudzu Root (Pueraria lobata) Used for
hangovers and helps alcohol and tobacco cravings, taken before and after the
celebration.  Regulates heart rate, helps
tame headaches, migraines, vertigo, tinnitus, blood sugar retinopathy,
glaucoma and nerve deafness.
