A Rich Source of Nutrients

Far from being an lowly weed, Dandelion offers a multitude of health benefits and is packed full of Vitamins A, C, K, E., and a rich source of minerals and antioxidants such as beta carotene and polyphenols.   Some studies also have indicated that dandelion extracts and compounds provide protection against cellular damage and oxidative stress and may help reduce inflammation in the body.

Purify From the Inside Out

Because Dandelion gently eliminates toxic wastes from the body, it is considered a powerful blood purifier. And this may prove useful an effective skin health supplement, for inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and acne through its action both in the liver and kidneys.  A liver that is not performing adequately can worsen acne because it cannot break down and clear excess hormones from the body.

Improve Digestive Health

Dandelion Root extract may provide healthy digestive support by stimulating appetite, in cases of malnourishment, anemia (because of its high zinc and iron content) and stabilize blood sugar and cholesterol.  The root is a mild laxative that promotes digestion and soothe an upset stomach. Research suggests the Dandelion root may improve the health and function of natural bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract aiding in digestion and appetite stimulus, improve upset stomachs, flatulence and feelings of fullness or constipation.

A Natural Diuretic

Dandelion Root is a potent natural diuretic that increases urine flow, rids the body of excess water and helps to relieve that bloated feeling. Because large amounts of potassium are often flushed from the body when synthetic diuretics are used, the high level of potassium found in Dandelion Root is important, It may be effective in treatment associated with urinary tract and kidney infections; and because it is a diuretic, it can be an effective weight loss tool.

The potassium found in Dandelion works with sodium and may regulate the body’s water balance and normalize heart rhythms. This diuretic action rids the body of excess fluid, thereby reducing the amount of fluid the heart must pump to circulate blood. This chemical reaction may lead to lower cholesterol and triglycerides, as well as blood pressure stability.

Inflammation Relief

The anti-inflammatory properties of Dandelion root extract are particularly useful for those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. The extract, a rich source of calcium, silicon, and boron, may also reduce swelling and improve pain that can accompany muscle spasms and in some cases osteoporosis.
